The original 1930’s stucco and concrete villa had endured several minor alterations and was used as a rental property for many years. Current owners wanted to ‘freshen the place up’ – a simple brief that resulted in its complete renovation and rejuvenation.
Opening up the façade with extensive glazing creates a contemporary sun-lounge whilst simultaneously framing the view both into and out of the building. Sleek, contemporary materials give the building street presence that work well within the constraints of the original concrete structure and surrounding environment. The original, modest interiors were re-planned to better reflect the requirements of modern living.
