Ciaran O'Neill

Architectural Graduate

MARCP

Ciaran recently joined DGSE after completing his Master’s Degree in Architecture in Auckland. Ciaran’s final thesis project investigated the architecture of rehabilitation and how building design can contribute to the well being and recovery of patients; understanding how layout and use of materials can help create a strong sense of coherence and a feeling of ‘home’.

Before starting at DGSE Ciaran worked as a Graphic Designer. His work included designing shop fit-outs and event expos for clients such as Samsung. Ciaran’s strong background in design thinking transfers well into the profession, along with his strong communication, spatial awareness, and problem-solving skills.

Ciaran is interested in creating many typologies of Architecture, such as public and commercial spaces, high-density housing, and smaller private buildings with the intent to create sustainable architecture that improves people’s lives and creates a sense of joy.
