Based in DGSE’s Wellington Design Studio, André has extensive industry experience in practical, research-based and technical backgrounds, delivering high quality projects of various typologies, scales and complexities.

André has substantial expertise in Residential, Commercial, and Workplace projects and a passion for the interior built environment. His broad theoretical knowledge enables him to develop diverse and considered outcomes bespoke to the needs of the end user.

Working in the role of Design Lead, André pushes the boundaries of emerging design thinking, focusing on the complex and intricate adjacencies of successful space planning - tailored to client-specific requirements. His focus on authenticity, thoughtful assemblage, and bespoke detailing offers a heightened experience for person and place.

Highly proficient in various project delivery strategies, André is well versed in the intricacies of maintaining operational and secure environments throughout the construction process. His collaborative approach to contractor and consultant involvement ensures well considered outcomes for all project stakeholders.

His recent work includes projects for New Zealand Police, Civil Aviation Authority, Waka Kotahi (NZTA), Monark Apartments, Fifeshire Bolthole, Victoria University of Wellington, Royal Commission of Inquiry into Abuse in Care, and the Human Rights Commission - Te Kāhui Tiki Tangata.
